"My Great Dane, Harley entered our life at 10 weeks old and 25 pounds, when my husband was very ill. He and Harley were the best of buddies for the next 4 years until he passed away. Then I became her person. She was an amazing companion for the rest of her 10 1/2 years. She was the most beautiful and sweetest dog I have ever known. She provided a lot of joy and smiles to people wherever she went. Even non dog people loved her. She had a way of communicating with her eyes, her big ol' paws and her body language that I could tell exactly what she wanted. That's how I knew that it was her time to go. She let me know that she was tired and ready. She certainly had accomplished a lot in her life. She and I had been through a lot and she was such a comfort to have around. She loved to run hard and consequently had a few injuries but she still was running, just not as fast or as long. Her last night, she went to the bedroom and stood looking at the bed. I was afraid that she couldn't make it up as she usually did but she finally made it up on a bench and then onto the bed (her happy place). There she stayed until the next morning when Dr. Sellers came and provided Harley a peaceful passing. Dr. Sellers' caring ways made this very sad day bearable. Thank you Dr. Sellers. Rest in peace my sweet Harley. There will never be another dog as sweet, well behaved and loving as you. I miss you terribly."- Donna Wildt
