Maximus “Max” Meridius Brison
Born August 26, 2012 – Merced, CA
Passed April 21, 2025 – Springfield, MO
"Max came into our lives when he was just 8 weeks old—back when Jared and I were newlyweds still figuring out our journey together. From that very first day, he was more than just a dog. He was family. He quickly became my steadfast companion and fierce protector, especially during the months Jared was deployed or away at out-of-state trainings and schools. No matter where life took us, Max was right there—watching over us, loving us unconditionally, and standing guard like only he could.
He was our loyal road trip buddy through four military PCS moves, including our first, which took us from one coast of the country to the other. Each new home wasn’t truly home until Max was there, claiming his spot and making us feel safe and grounded. He was by our side through every season of life—joy, stress, change, and growth—always with his quiet strength and loving eyes.
Max wasn’t just our dog; he was woven into the very fabric of our family. He was there for every celebration, every tearful goodbye, and every joyful reunion. His protective nature, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion gave us peace, comfort, and so much love. He knew his people, and he made it his mission to protect and love us fiercely.
As we prepared for yet another move, the pain of not seeing him in the backseat this time around was heartbreaking. Still, I hold close the image of him—young again, fully healed, running free and happy. I truly believe he’s in a place where he’s whole again, chasing after all the things that once brought him joy.
Thank you, Lord, for giving us the honor of loving and being loved by such a faithful soul. We were so incredibly blessed to have him in our lives.
Rest in love, my sweet baby boy. You will always be a part of us. " - Amie & Jared Brison
